PLAY rules

for RASCALS

Our Rules

 

To make sure your visit is as enjoyable and comfortable as possible we ask all visitors to adhere to our simple rules of play.

Parents & Guardians MUST:

​

  • Take responsibility and supervise the child(ren) you came with at all times. Role Play Rascals does not accept responsibility for the supervision of any child.

  • Remain on the premises at all times.

  • Monitor their child to ensure he/she is capable of using the equipment safely.

  • Know where their child is at all times and also ensure the child is able to locate them at all times.

 

General Rules

  • Our play area is exclusively for children walking up to 7 years old.  You are welcome to bring older children to aid younger siblings, however our equipment and costumes are designed to be used only by children 1-7. We reserve the right to charge for damage caused by older children who use the play equipment. 

  • All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18 at all times. Role Play Rascals does not accept responsibility for the supervision of children.

  • Children should use the toilet and wash their hands before entering the play areas.

  • Jewellery and badges should be removed and kept safely by a responsible adult.

  • No running.

  • Shoes must be removed before entering the play areas. Socks must be worn at all times by adults and children.

  • Socks can be purchased from the main reception area.

  • Play is restricted to the 2 hour slot you booked on to.

  • Role Play Rascals recommends to parents that children wear long sleeves and trousers. Clothes should be tucked in at all times.

  • Clothes with ropes and cords should not be worn in the play area. Scarves should not be worn.

  • No sharp objects may be taken into the play areas.

  • No food, drink or chewing gum should be taken into the play areas.

  • It is forbidden to smoke, vape or play with fire on the premises.

  • Children who are feeling unwell should not enter the Centre and if a child has been unwell we ask that you leave a period of 48 hours before visiting us.

  • No objects should be thrown.

  • Parents/Guardians are responsible for the behaviour and well being of the child in their care at all times while in the centre, and must maintain supervision at all times.

  • In the interests of Health and Safety, please ensure that any food debris which falls on the floor is picked /wiped up as soon as possible. Please report any spillages to a member of staff who will be happy to clean the area.

  • Report ALL accidents to a member of staff immediately, to ensure that we can provide any necessary assistance and minimise the potential of re-occurrence. These will be logged and are an important part of our ongoing commitment to providing safe play.

  • All damages to Role Play Rascals property either accidental or deliberate must be reported to a member of staff.

  • We cannot take responsibility for the loss, damage or theft of personal belongings whilst using the centre.

  • Nappy changing and the use of potties etc. should be conducted in the toilet, ensuring nappies are placed in the bins provided.

  • Prams must be left in the lobby/cafe area only and cannot be taken into the play areas.

  • Breastfeeding is always welcome here.

  • Play sessions are non-refundable; however these can be transferred to a different day/time if 24 hours notice is given.

  • For Health and Safety reasons, only food purchased at Role Play Rascals cafe may be consumed on the premises unless the child is less than one year of age.

  • Fighting, bullying, abusive or aggressive behaviour, or any type of behaviour deemed to be unsuitable towards Role Play Rascals staff, management or other members of the public, from either adults or children will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave.

  • Report any behavioural concerns to a member of staff. Don’t attempt to intervene yourself.

  • Management also reserve the right to refuse admission.

  • If any bodily fluid is leaked or left on the floor i.e urine or sick a member of staff must be informed immediately so that this can be cleaned up.

  • All equipment remains the property of Role Play Rascals and must not be take from the building.

  • Please note that the centre is under 24 hour CCTV surveillance by staff to ensure the safety of all visitors and staff.

  • If a child becomes ill whilst on the premises you will be asked to leave to prevent the spread of infection.

  • No climbing on any of the play equipment.

  • Children should not bring toys or any items from home into the play area

Parents/Guardians should note that whilst every consideration has been given for the safety of children using the play centre, Role Play Rascals cannot be held responsible for accidents which occur as a result of children playing on the equipment.
